The 1,800 m² Hohe Tauern National Park Worlds in Mittersill are among the most modern national park centres in Europe. Visitors walk through 10 fascinating natural areas one after the other and learn about and understand the extraordinary diversity of the largest protected area in the Alps.
With the spectacular 360° panorama cinema, the exhibition is one of the most popular visitor highlights in the Hohe Tauern National Park holiday region. "The exhibition to touch" is considered a visitor magnet and all-weather programme for the whole family and is waiting to be explored.
Eagle flight panorama
24 breathtaking film flights take you into the valleys and to the highlights of the largest national park in the Alps. The backdrop is provided by giant summit models of the Großglockner and Großvenediger floating in space.
Marmots & Co.
In the central area there is a large model of a typical landscape at an altitude of about 2000 to 2200m. In the alpine grass landscape marmots cavort, in the snow landscape ptarmigan, in the steep rock climb chamois and ibex.
360° Panorama cinema
The "360° National Park World" offers a unique natural spectacle through all seasons and altitudes of the Hohe Tauern National Park.
Mountain forest gallery
From the methuselah tree to the woodpecker. Powerful tree trunks offer insights into the diversity of mountain forest life.
Lie on the mountain meadow and enjoy the alpine summer. Lie down between the cows on the meadow loungers and enjoy the magic of the mountain flowers in a magnificent picture show.
Here you enter the new, often unnoticed world of the mountain stream. The brown trout, but also all insects can be seen here in 25x magnification.
